We have been planning to redo Lyla's room for awhile and finally found some time last weekend. We needed the crib and changing table from her room for the new baby but didn't want to just take it and put it right into Baby S's room. Matt and I spent the day doing the remodel and then finally revealed it to her in a very HGTV manner. I have to say, it was pretty fun. She was surprised in a very Lyla appropriate sort of way. She said, "happy" and "nice" as she wandered about looking at everything.
We have been so impressed and surprised with Lyla's ease at transitioning. She has taken to the new bed like a champ and hasn't mentioned her crib once. She loves climbing in "new bed" and talks about it in this cute squeaky voice that confirms her joy with the whole situation. Room redo's will definitely part of our world- they are a super fun surprise.
