Solid foods.

We have really started the solid foods in the last month. We decided to make our own, which is a little time consuming but turned out to not be that difficult once we got into a rythme. It is really nice having the farmers' market each week, as I am able to come home with an abundance of fresh local produce for Lyla. I kind of like knowing exactly who is growing her food. It has been really fun to try and find new things to feed her. So far we have tried carrots, cucumber, yellow squash, brocolli, beets, snap peas, avacados, sweet potatoes, bananas, cantalope, apple sauce and butternut squash. She hasn't liked the snap peas, avacado, apple sauce or butternut squash. We are going to try meat pretty soon but I think I am just going to get that at Whole Foods. She is starting to be able to figure out how to bring food to her mouth. We give her a few of the disovable vegetable puff things every afternoon and she is able to feed herself. She doesn't really understand a sippy cup just yet. She still needs help holding it up. I am really excited to think and learn about food for Lyla. Options are endless.
